Originally from Provence, France. I moved to Japan in 2014, drawn by my lifelong fascination with Japanese culture. I stumbled into web engineering by chance — and ended up loving it. Over the years, as I improved my photography, I wanted to go further: photographing people and creating complete artistic universes. Around 2018, I started looking for amateur models on social networks, but quickly realized how hard it was to actually connect with people interested in passionate projects. Then in 2020, during COVID, the idea hit me: what if we created a dedicated app? When I told my friend Mic, he jumped on board immediately. While working our day jobs, we spent several years developing this app, and we were finally able to launch MiKiMI.

I’ve always loved creating and telling stories. That’s what led me into communication. The web was part of it, and combining code with visuals allowed me to build things that felt personal. One day, I bought a camera. At first, it was just for me, to create my own images and explore my creativity a bit more. But then I started wanting to photograph people. And that’s when I hesitated. I had ideas in my head, but I didn’t know how to approach strangers in a natural way. When Jojo told me about his idea, I was immediately in. It was a problem I already knew well, and I wanted to be part of building a solution to it.
