Chat Messages

Chat messages are private and can only be accessed by you and the other participants in the conversation. However, we reserve the right to access and review chat messages if necessary to investigate user disputes, enforce our Terms of Use, or comply with legal obligations.

Cookies and Analytics

The App and our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies, as well as third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics), to understand how users interact with our platform. This data is aggregated, anonymized, and used solely to improve our service.

You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

In accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (個人情報保護法), we collect and use your personal information only for the purposes stated above. We will not use your personal information beyond those purposes without your prior consent.

Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored securely on our servers located in Japan. If you delete your account, your data will be retained for up to 2 months to allow for account recovery. After this period, your data will be permanently deleted.

Different categories of data may be retained for different periods as required by law or for legitimate operational purposes.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Your information may be shared with other users as necessary for the App’s features (e.g., profile viewing, chat, event creation). We may also share your data with trusted service providers who assist in operating the App, subject to strict confidentiality obligations.

We may disclose your information if required by Japanese law or court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of us or others.

Cross-Border Data Transfers

The App is operated primarily in Japan. If you access the App from outside Japan, your information may be transferred to and stored in Japan. We take appropriate measures to ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

In accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), you have the right to:

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, disclosure, or misuse. However, no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and to contact us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.

Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 18 and over who are not enrolled in high school or below. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such individuals. If we become aware that a user does not meet these requirements, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal information breach that is required to be reported under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), we will notify the Personal Information Protection Commission (個人情報保護委員会) and affected individuals as required by applicable law.

Language

In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the Japanese and English versions of this Privacy Policy, the Japanese version shall prevail.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Japan, including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (個人情報保護法).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
